Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress best famous for her role in film for the movie Ray Undercover Brother and on the television show The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film as well as producer. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared on a variety of TV series as well as mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she performed. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she was also awarded and nominations. The actress made her professional debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She's performed as a character on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Film career: She is appreciated for films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her work on ABC's crime show High Incident.
