Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990, when she was just 19 years old, and won the Grammy in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. Her third album, I've Got That Old Feeling won her the honor even though she was barely 19 years older. Too Late To Cry is her first album. It came out in Champaign Illinois at the age of 16. At 14, she signed for her debut album with Rounder Records - one of the most prestigious folk music labels. Krauss was always renowned for her extraordinary virtuosity, as well as her achievements when she was just a few years old. The devotion she has to bluegrass music, which is one of the most enduring and unappreciated forms in American culture, is a constant. Krauss became a mature musician and producer, having grown from being a teenage star.
